Uber is one of the most needed applications, especially in big cities. People can use Uber when they need for a driver, a restaurant, or deliver something. Uber currently operates in more than 85 countries. Most people use it for having a taxi.
How to use Uber?
Those who want to use the Uber application must first download the application on their phones. After downloading, it needs to fill in the necessary information to register and enable location access for uber from the settings section. Now we come to the easiest part. When ordering a taxi, you only need to specify your own location and write or choose an arrival destination. Before confirmation, it shows the approximate amount of road toll, payment method, and car type. After confirming the car type payment method, and amount, it may take up several minutes to find the driver. After the driver is found, you can see the driver’s live location until he/she arrives at your address and you can contact the driver via the uber application.

Once upon a time, the Turkish State decided to stop Uber activities on the grounds of unfair competition. As of December 2020, it has been agreed that Uber will work again in Turkey. Uber operates in Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara. There are 3 different vehicles with Uber in Turkey. These are yellow taxis (the lowest price), turquoise taxis and Minibuses called black taxis of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

It is hard to find a taxi, especially in touristic places. Since it is difficult to find a taxi in general, it is really hard to find a taxi in Uber, especially in the evening in Istanbul.
