• How Does Istanbul E-pass Work?

  1. Choose your 2, 3, 5, or 7 days pass.

  2. Buy online with your credit card and receive a pass to your email address instantly.

  3. Access your account and start to manage your reservation. For walk-in attractions, no need to manage; show your pass or scan the QR code and get in.

  4. Some attractions, like the Bursa Day Trip and Dinner & Cruise on the Bosphorus, need to be reserved; you can easily reserve them from your E-pass account.

• Is There A Limit To Visit Attraction Per Day?

  No, there is no limit. You can visit unlimited all the attactions included pass. Each attraction can be visited once per pass.

• What Languages Is the Guidebook Written?

  Istanbul Guidebook is written in English, Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, and Croatian.

• Is There Any Night Activities With Istanbul E-pass?

  Most of the attractions in the pass are for daytime. Dinner & Cruise on the Bosphorus and the Whirling Dervishes Ceremony are some attractions available for nighttime.

• How Do I Activate My Pass?

  1. You can activate your pass in two ways.

  2. You can log in to your pass account and choose the dates you want to use. Don't forget pass counts calendar days, not 24 hours.

  3. You can activate your pass with the first use. When you show your pass to counter staff or a guide, your pass will be admitted, which means it is activated. You can count the days of your pass from the activation day.

• Does Istanbul E-pass Have Exclusions?

  All attractions on the shared included list can be used. Some attractions, like private airport transfer, PCR tests, and Troy and Gallipoli day trip tours, are discounted offers. You need to pay additionally to use the service. Your advantage is more than 60% on the regular price. There are some attractions that have upgrades. For example, you can upgrade your dinner cruise tour to unlimited alcoholic beverages with a supplemental payment. If you are ok with soft drinks, they are included. No need to upgrade.

• Do I Get a Physical Card?

  No, you don’t. The Istanbul E-pass is a fully digital pass, and you receive it in a minute to your email address after your purchase. You will receive your pass ID with a QR code and manage pass access links. You can easily manage your pass from the Istanbul E-pass customer panel.

• Do I Have to Join Guided Tours for Museum Visits? Can I Do Myself?

  Some museums that belong to the government are not providing digital tickets. That is why Istanbul E-pass is offering guided tours with tickets for these attractions. You need to meet with the guide at the meeting point and time to join. After you are in, you don’t have to stay with the guide. You are free to visit by yourself. Istanbul E-pass guides are professional and knowledgeable; we recommend you stay and listen to the history from them. Please check attractions for tour times.

Validity Of Pass

• How Should I Count Day of Pass, Hours or Calendar Days?

  The Istanbul E-pass counts calendar days. Calendar days are the count of passes, not 24 hours for one day. For example, if you have 3 days pass and activate it on Tuesday, it will be expired on Thursday at 23:59. Pass can be used only on consecutive days. 

• How Long Is Istanbul E-pass Valid For?

  The Istanbul E-pass is available for 2, 3, 5, and 7 days. You can use your E-pass between the dates you choose on your customer panel.

• Are the Passes for Consecutive Days?

  Yes, they are. If you have 3 days pass and activate it on the 14th day of the month, you can use it on the 14th, 15th, and 16th days of the month. It will expire at 16:00 on the 23rd.

• How Much Does Istanbul E-pass Cost?

  The price of the Istanbul E-pass change depends on duration, adult, and child. A longer duration of pass makes you save more. Click here to view pricing details.

• In Which Currency Istanbul E-pass Charge?

  We charge in euros. If your country is out of the Euro area, your bank will convert it with the currency rate of your country's central bank.

• Can I Upgrade My Pass After Purchase?

  Yes, you can. If you purchase a 3-day pass and decide to upgrade it to 5 days, you can contact the customer support team, pay the difference, and continue to use it. Please note that expired passes can not be upgraded. Upgrades can be for consecutive days.

• Can I Buy Istanbul E-pass When I Am in Istanbul?

  Yes, you can. The Istanbul E-pass is fully digital, and you can purchase it online. You can start to use it immediately after purchase.

• How Do You Define Child?
  Child age is defined as between 5 and 12. Most of the attractions do not charge for children under 5, so we do not sell them a pass. They can join the attractions for free. Some attractions, like Legoland or the Aquarium, charge for children under 5, and you can pay at the counter. Please check with the support team in such cases.

   

  Dinner Cruise and Day Trip tours provide meals and seats at an extra cost for children under 5 years old at request.
• Should I Keep My or My Childs ID During Visit?

  You should. At least a photo of your ID on your phone. You may be asked for the child's ID to be able to visit with a child pass. Some attractions may check adult ID too.

• Is There Any Discount for Groups, Seniors or Students?

  The Istanbul E-pass is a great saving opportunity for visitors of Istanbul. You have huge savings of up to 70%. We do not have special discounts for seniors and students (except for child age). For groups of more than 10 adult participants, please fill out the form.  Our team will back you in 24 hours.

• Is There Any Discount Code?

• I Haven’t Recieved Confirmation Mail, Why?

  Our system automatically creates a pass and sends you an email in a minute after purchase. If you don’t see it, please check your spam box. Still, if you can’t see, please write to us via chatline or mail.

• How Far in Advance Can I Buy Istanbul E-pass?

  The Istanbul E-pass can be used 2 years after purchase. If you are making your Istanbul plans, you can buy and start to manage your reservations in advance. It will not be activated when you make a reservation. It will be activated with first use.

• I Am in Istanbul and Start to Use Pass Immediately, Do I Have Enough Time to Buy Pass Online?

  Yes, you do. You can start to use your pass in a minute with your purchase. You will receive your digital pass in less than a minute.

• Can I Purchase the Istanbul E-pass as a Gift?

  Yes, you can. You can purchase a pass under the name of the person you want to gift.

• What Are the Gate Prices of the Attractions?

• Does the Pass Include All Istanbul’s Attractions?

  The Istanbul E-pass includes most of the top attractions. You can do major attractions without paying extra with the Istanbul E-pass. Click here for the attraction list.

• Can I Visit Same Attraction Twice?

  You can visit the same attraction only once. Our system doesn’t allow it to be used a second time.

• Is There a Closed Days of Attractions? Are They Open All Year?

  Most of the attractions are open all year, but during national days and regional holidays, such as January 1st, they may open doors later. Some museums are closed to visitors one day of the week. You can find all information for each attraction from here.

• How Can I Find the Openning and Closing Times of Attractions?

  You can check from the attraction list page.

• How Can I Get to Out of Central Istanbul Attractions?

  Some attractions include transportation from your hotel, which are outer cities from Istanbul like Bursa and Sapanca & Masukiye. For other things, you can use public transportation. You will receive a public transportation map with your pass and guidebook, which shows how to get to attractions in detail.

Reservations

• Do I Need to Make Reservation Before Visiting the Attractions?

  Some attractions must be reserved in advance, like Dinner & Cruise on the Bosphorus and the Bursa Day Trip. You need to make your reservation from your pass account, which is very easy to handle. The supplier will send you confirmation and a pickup time to be ready for your pickup. When you meet, show your pass (QR code) to the transferman. It is done. Enjoy. :)

• Do I Need to Make Reservation for Guided Tours?

  Some attractions in the pass are guided tours. You need to meet with guides at the meeting point at meeting time. You can find meeting time and point in each attraction's explanation. At meeting points, the guide will hold the Istanbul E-pass flag. Show your pass (QR code) to the guide and get in.

• How Many Days Before Can I Make Reservation for Required Attractions?

  You can make your reservations until the last 24 hours of the date you plan to attend the attraction.

• Will I Get Confirmation After I Make the Reservation?

  Your reservation will be shared with our supplier. Our supplier will send you a confirmation email. If there is pickup service, the pickup time will also be shared in the confirmation email. You need to be ready at the meeting time in the lobby of your hotel.

• How Can I Make Reservation for Required Attractions?

  With your pass confirmation, we send you an access link to manage the pass panel. You need to click the reserve tour and fill out the form, which asks for the hotel name and date of the tour you want, and send the form. It is done. The supplier will send you a confirmation email in 24 hours.

Cancellation & Refund & Amendment

• Can I Get Refund? What Happens if I Can’t Travel to Istanbul on the Date I Choose?

  The Istanbul E-pass can be used 2 years after purchase and can also be cancelled in 2 years. You can use your pass on the date you travel. It is activated only with first use or reservation to any attraction.

• Can I Get My Money Back if I Can’t Use Pass Fully?
  The Istanbul E-pass guarantees savings during your Istanbul visit from what you paid to pass compared with admission prices of attractions.

   

  You may feel tired and can’t visit as many attractions as you planned before you bought the pass, or you may miss the open time of an attraction, or you may not be on time for a guided tour and can’t join. Or you just visit 2 attractions and don’t want to visit others.

   

  We only calculate the entrance gate prices of the attractions you used, which are shared on our attractions page. If it is less than what you paid to use, we refund the rest of the amount back in 4 business days after you apply.

   

  Please do not forget the reserved attractions must be cancelled a minimum of 24 hours before for them not to be counted as used.
• I Will Not Come to Istanbul, Can I Give My Pass to My Friend?

  Yes, you can. You need to contact our customer support team. Our team will change pass owner details immediately, and it will be ready to use.

• Is It Safe to Buy Online?

  istanbulepass.com is safe to purchase online. Our system doesn’t keep a record of credit card details after the transaction, and the personal data of our customers is unreachable by others.

• How Will I Get My Pass After I Buy It Online?

  You will receive your pass to your email address you shared while purchasing instantly. In an email, you will receive a pass QR code, a guidebook, a metro map, and access links to manage the pass.

Digital Pass

• How Does Istanbul E-pass App Work?
  Download the Istanbul E-pass app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.

  Click My E-pass and enter your E-pass ID; you are in. All attractions and reservations can be arranged simply.
• I Lost My Confirmation Email. How Can I Access to My Pass Account?

  Please contact our customer support team. We will send your confirmation email to your email address again.

• Is It Enough to Show My Confirmation Email to Enter Attractions?

  On the confirmation email, you will receive an access link to the E-pass Customer Panel where you can see the QR code and pass ID. You can use it to access attractions. For some attractions that require reservation, you need to make a reservation via the pass panel.

• Should I Print My Pass?

  You don’t need to print. Your E-pass customer page will be enough to use. If you will be out of internet, you can have a screenshot or print of your E-pass.

Transportation

• How Can I Get Istanbul Transportation Card?

  In Istanbul, we use the ‘Istanbul Kart’ for public transportation. You can get an Istanbul Card from kiosks near stations. You can reload it when you finish, or you can get 5-times-use cards from machines at kiosks. Machines accept Turkish liras. • Which Transportations Are Included to Istanbul E-pass?

  Public transportation is not included in the Istanbul E-pass. But roundtrip boat trips to Princes Islands, hop-on hop-off Bosphorus tours, pick-up and drop-off for dinner and cruises on the Bosphorus, roundtrip discounted airport transfers, airport shuttles, and full-day transportation for Bursa and Sapanca & Masukiye tours are included in the Istanbul E-pass.
