It is located in the Besiktas district of Istanbul. It was the residence of the last six sultans of the Ottoman Empire and Ataturk. It was functional as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856-1887 and 1909-1922. It was built between 1843 to 1856 by Sultan Abdulmecit.

Golden Horn

Golden horn is a natural harbor where Byzantine and Ottoman ships were anchored. Nowadays it is surrounded by different parks and historical sites of the city. The name "Golden Horn" drives from the color of the water that when the sun shines on the water, the golden color reflects on the water.

Bosphorus Bridge

Camlica Hill

There are two Camlica hills; one is short, and the other is the bigger one. It is named after its surroundings tree of pines. It has its history as it succeeds through the Byzantines and also the Roman period.
